I'm trying to book a spot on North Pines Campground in Yosemite National Park for August 2017, But I keep getting a message that says I can do it only 4 months before my Arrival date... Is that true? Does any one know a way to book a place now?
Each park operator sets their own reservation window. I don't know of any way around that. Florida State Parks for instance, have an 11 month window, but the National Forest Service and National Park Service campgrounds, at least in Florida, have a 6 month window. As I recall, Yosemite campgrounds are operated by a concessionaire who likely sets their own window, apparently at 4 months. All you can do is mark your calendar and give it a try the instant the window opens.
