I am having a heck of a time trying to find something in this state that works for me. We will be heading north in Sept and have reservations on the cape but we have never been to RI and would like to see the state. We would like to be near the area attractions. We have a 38ft MH and would need W/E. We do have 3 small dogs. I would like to have grass on my site instead of dirt. Fishermans Memorial State park was recommended but it appears they do not allow dogs. If it would better to stay in one of the surrounding states, fine, but which campground, what city is close? Any help would be appreciated.

When we went to New England, we stayed and the Middleboro KOA. It seemed to be a centralized location for visiting Newport, the cape, Plymoth, and Boston.

We stay at River Bend right on the Rhode Island Border. They have grassy sites, allow dogs and have wifi. The gate is tight with a bigger rig, but I get in just fine with my 36 ft. motor home. It is about 45 minutes to Providence, and 45 minutes to the beaches. Not far from Roger WIlliams Zoo and not too far from the Connecticut casinos.
