We're considering a summer vacation in Rock Island State Park, Tennessee. We have a 12 and a 15 yo in tow and need to entertain them. The lake itself will provide some activities, but are there historic sites and other things of that nature in the vicinity? Thanks in advance for assistance.

I highly recommend going to Burgess Falls State Park, which is not far at all from Rock Island....the trail to Burgess is fairly easy and you pass numerous other falls on the way...definitely worth seeing...also, we love Fall Creek Falls State Park....easy day trip from Rock Island.
