Anyone else having trouble with the hide-a-bed in the new, 2008, Rockwoods? Ours has collapsed twice now...once on the trip home from New Mexico and most recently on our trip to Nova Scotia. It collapses in the center so that one ends up sleeping in a "V".....head and feet high and you-know-what dragging the floor.

The dealer claims that it just needs "adjustment", even though we have broken bolts to show him. I am about ready to call Forest River since they repaired it at the factory the first time it collapsed.

Yes, I am overweight...5'11" and 200 lbs...but not morbidly obese!

We have a 2008 Rockwood 8280SS, which I believe has the same hide-a-bed as yours. We have not had any problems with it. I haven't tried to sleep on it, but the grandkids have with no problems. Now, I have layed on it to test it out and it seems to be pretty solid. I am 6'0" 220lbs..okay maybe closer to 230lbs, but who's counting. Anyway it sounds like they need to fix or replace it... especially with broken bolts, something is definitely wrong. Good Luck
