I wanted to take a minute to write about Smoky Jellystone campground. We were leary about making reservations there after reading that the campground was not equiped for large rigs. We drove thru the campground, really liked it and made reservations. Our TT is 32'. Well, we spent the best weekend ever there. We were site 44. Back on a RUSHING stream. We had lots of elbow room. Nice stone firepit back near the end of the space so we could enjoy the fire and the stream. We had PLENTY of room for our TT. The owners are new this year and they really are special. The owner escorted us to our site.. and he is a very nice and friendly guy. their two sons are really nice as well. The campground is kept immaculate. They had various events thru the weekend which they would go thru the campground and remind people of so you would not miss it. The evening hayride with Yogi Bear was the highlight of my 4 year olds weekend. The pools were crystal clear. My kids enjoyed the miniature golf. They had craft activities during the weekend as well as movies each evening. The playground is great as well If you are contemplating a trip to the Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg area, I highly recommend that you check out this campground. It is a short drive into Gatlinburg and also the Craft district. There is also a back way to Pigeon Forge which enables you to miss out on all the traffic. Also, is it really nice to not have to fight the traffic coming and going thru Severieville and Pigeon Forge. There were several Class A's there when we were as well as several rigs larger than ours. Two thumbs up for this campground and its owners
