Hello Goodnight. My name is Franco and next to my girlfriend are walking the beautiful West Coast RV. I need to know if anyone in this forum knows this RV Park (attached photo), and I get tired of looking everywhere and can not find anything. Should be in the area of the Grand Canyon !! I wait and thank you for everything !!!
Franco - This RV park could be in California, Arizona, New Mexico, Utah or even in a couple of other states that have desert areas. It actually looks familiar to me and at first I thought it might be the one at Goulding's Lodge and RV park in Monument Valley but in looking closer it isn't that one. Where did you find the image in the first place, a magazine or travel brochure perhaps? If so you might be able to contact the source and see if they can tell you where it is. You'll spend hours trying to find it on Google Search and it may not even come up as you have just indicated. Hopefully someone will read this thread and recognize it and let you know. Good luck with this and travel safe................ Regards, BankShot............(aka Terry)
thanks for answering! I found the photo on google, and caught my attention !! that's why I try to know where it is to stop there
Vientolp, you should check out Nevada state parks. Your picture looks a lot like the Valley of Fire campground. Good luck and happy travels.
onemoretrail - Did anyone ever tell you that you are good? I do believe you are spot on with this one.............
This is one of those posts that most enjoy the mystery of. The odds are against me, but I'm not ready to throw in the towel to onemoretrail, just yet. If the pix hasn't been photo-shopped, then these are the type rocks typically found in Utah. Reddish in color.
RLM is right about the rocks typically found in Utah being similar to the picture. I know because I've been there and enjoyed being around them. However, they are not exclusive to Utah. Nevada has its share as well including a place called Red Rock Canyon. Even Arizona likes to brag about their red rocks around Sedona. It's not the red rocks that give it away. It's the ramadas in the picture. They are the type used at Nevada state parks.
I agree and have camped here. Here's a link to the review page and alink to the parks flicker photos page: https://www.campgroundreviews.com/regions/nevada/overton/valley-of-fire-state-park https://www.flickr.com/photos/nevadadcnr/sets/72157629018725167/ Not too far from Vegas
I think it'd be better if you go around yourself and discover new places. Obv its going to take time but you are going to remember this trip for life.
