Our Travel trailer was stolen from StorQuest storage in Leander, Tx. Across from Block House Creek. Stolen approx Feb 12,2024. It is a 2023 Cougar Half Ton 26RBS, white with one slide out and outdoor kitchen. Pics and license plate (if they were too stupid to take it off) below. Yes we had a hitch lock and yes the storage facility was suppose to be secure but their cameras don’t work. Yes we called the cops and have insurance. Please keep your eyes open for sales and roadside trailer left somewhere. Thanks so much. Don’t like going public but maybe it’ll help! We had a halo view backup camera, WiFi equipment and 2 TVs inside. Maybe pawn shops? We have the halo view monitor, they have the camera. Most units have a stainless fridge inside, ours was black with the gray interior. I’ve been checking Craigslist and other sites. It has 2 entry doors, front and back.
You may not want a recovery. In my experience, seldom are recovered stolen vehicles cleaned and detailed. They are almost always trashed, damaged and in need of significant repairs. The road to complete restoration will be long and a constant battle with insurance. Much less stressful and quicker to just settle with insurance and go and find a replacement. Good luck.
If you have an overall shot of the outside of your RV, you can use the "Search image with Google" (right click on the photo to bring up that dropdown) to locate other sites that it may be your photo. I've often found fake motorhome listings that way. This won't work for interior shots since the pics you took wouldn't be ones a thief uses to post on the internet, but an outside pic might come close enough for your to ID if it's yours.
Sorry to hear about your RV being stolen. Sad also that your first post on the forum has to be this one. As newkocmoedoe said, many times the recovererd RV has been trashed or damaged in some way, etc. Also at times they have somehow been taken across the border into Mexico and in that case the chances of a recovery are slim to none. Work with your insurance company and your agent and have proof of any upgrades or extras, etc, that you have put into it from stock. We all hope that this will end in a positive way for you, just don't give up and "fight the good fight" during the recovery/replacement period. Best of luck ahead, BankShot........(aka Terry)
