This is my first post and after reading many of the postings decided to ask if any others out there have Sun Ray trailers and what their experiences have been with them My wife and I purchased this, our first trailer, Sept. 2006 and took it on our first outing from NC to NJ, PA with stops inbetween. We have 3 Soft Coated Wheaten Terriers and they love to ride (in the car of course) and they seem to enjoy being in the trailer with us. The only problems we encountered was a major leak in the bottom of the slide out and a relay at the toungue. Both were repaired at no cost by the dealer. Since my wife has had back surgery 6 weeks ago, we will be staying local this season. We hope to go to 4 Paws Kingdom Campground in late spring or early summer. We would appreciate any comments or suggestions. Wayne

Hi Sam -- It was difficult to figure out how to reply here, sorry for duplicates. We had our Smokey in at Bill Clemmon's RV, where we purchased it and the replaced the room bottom seal and adjusted the room heighth. We still had some leakage so I called Sunray and asked if they used struts to keep the room in place while traveling and they said "NO". I bought 2 struts and installed them and the water stopped coming in while traveling. I may get 2 more before the 2008 season for the bottom ends of the room. They go for around $40.00 each but if it works, it is worth it. Other than above, we had a slight leak at the bathroom skylight above the tub. It was resealed and that stopped that problem. With your room closed, the long bottom seal should be flat against the room, not turned up and in. That was how it was when it leaked while driving in the rain. The tires just threw the water up and into the rug area. Also check the ends, we had extra seal pieces installed at the ends. I hope this helps. You can call me if you like at 336-837-9763 Wayne
