Arrived at Pigeon Forge Tennesee KOA Saturday , leaving tomorrow morning .. 750 mile round trip .. With genset running for 375 miles , running both AC's , 7.25 mpg at 60-70 mph .. With a Honda CRV toad and four adults , very very happy with the mileage .. Was concerned about not having both AC's available on 30 amp shore power , no worries there , one unit is very cold ... According to the Progressive Industries power protector ( a great $375 investment ) we're pulling 19 amps with one AC and other gremlins .. Very very satisfied .. We have had everything from tents to a 40 foot fifth wheel , but this is the only way to travel now .. Should have gotten this years ago ..

Our opinion of our '04 38R mirrors yours. If you ever desire to get more power and a little better mileage (and not pay Banks prices), I recommend you look into getting an Ultrapower upgrade. You won't regret it.
On my Suncruiser (2004 33V), the Powerline Energy Management system will cycle through each compressor on as amps availalbe and will keep the coach cool even on 30 Amps. Try to keep other big draw units off. If I am running both compressors and turn on say the microwave, the Powerline will automatically shut down one compresor. Pretty smart.
Just got in home ahead of the storms , first tank was 7.25 mpg as I stated in OP , actually it was a top off at about 200 miles , went into Pigeon Forge on that top off , and went about 275 miles on that , second top off was 7.24 mpg with one AC running .. Still over half a tank according to the gauge , but it is off a bit .. Only glitch , was sometime Sunday night , the plugs in master bedroom tripped , went into bathroom and the GFCI had tripped for some reason .. Also the electric steps had been rewired recently , and would not stay extended on shore power even with the switch turned off , just moved the magnet on the step a bit , problem solved .. Oh forgot to mention , this is a '98 32 WQ , had 27800 miles on it when we got it , very clean coach , whoever had it thru the years kept everything up .. Most we looked at in this size range and age , had twice the miles for twice the money , in half the condition ... We will have to replace the awning soon , has a few pinholes and some small tears where it attaches to the coach .. Fortunately we were in the position to pay cash for it , so no worries of a repo if anything flops down the road ..
