This weekend I'm heading out with the travel trailer and it's supposed to be in the upper 90's, maybe even reach 100. The air pressure on the trailer tires is supposed to be 65 pounds but I'm wondering with the high heat and expansion if I should set them a little lower before heading out, say 55-60 pounds cold. Any opinions on this idea??
Set the pressure at 65 psi cold or cool and do not let it out. If you drop pressure down the tires will heat up very fast and could blow out. If you think it is to hot, slow down and tires will be OK. Low air pressure kills lots of tires. Air pressure is what supports the load.
