we are headed to Texas, via Indy, to West Memphis, LIttle Rock, Texarcana. we have travelled this road many times, and many times it is so hard to find a safe, overnite campground along the interstate... the ones I have found do not look very good, safe etc..
We haul a 38 ft Montana fifth ,,
does anyone know of a hidden jewel along this road,,,
Once we get to Texarcana then we are ok,,,,
tomorrow we will stay in Mt. vernon, Ill at Quality Times rv,, not the greatest reviews but ok for an overnite,,
    then who KNows???
    thanks for any help ..

Check recreation.gov for Corp of Engineer campgrounds along your route. They won't be near the interstate, but certainly secure places to stay.

On one of your trips, you may want to consider staying at Whittington Woods Campground near Benton, IL. It is just a few miles south of Mt. Vernon at Exit 77 off Interstate 57. The area is not congested like the Mt. Vernon exit can be. Whittington Woods is one of our favorite campgrounds. The facilities are neat, clean, well maintained, and feel more like a campground than an RV park. The hosts are super nice. The location and campground are great for overnight stays or longer. We've stayed at Whittington Woods several times and have enjoyed every single visit. Our review and others in RV Park Reviews reflect our positive opinion of the campground.

Sorry, I missed getting this posted before you started on your trip. We've been on the road.

    Safe travels,
    Emma
