Anyone have any suggestions for good parks in ny? I live in rochester ny. Just went to brennen beach. Any suggestions?
Fish Creek and Rollins Pond on Upper Saranac Lake, between Villages of Tupper Lake and Saranac Lake. NYS camp ground.... no elect, no water at individual campsite. Does have bath houses. Every campsite is water front! Also, Saranac Islands campsites, also NYS campground. All 'water only access' primitive campsites. 85% of shoreline of pristine Lower Saranac Lake is 'forever wild' undeveloped wilderness. Many of the campsites are on islands in Lower Saranac lake. links: http://www.dec.ny.gov/outdoor/24494.html http://fishcreekpond.com/campsitephotos.ph...=Rollins%20Pond

Wellesly Island State Park, Alexandria Bay, NY. Right on the St Lawrence River. 10000 Islands. Loop F has full hook ups.
We stayed at Interlake RV Park a few years ago. Park was good. Really good place to check out the Hudson Valley area: Rhinebeck Aerodrome, Roosevelt library, Vanderbilt "cottage", etc. https://www.campgroundreviews.com/regions/New_Y...k.html#CGID5717
Wellsley Island is gorgeous - nice grassy sites. We also drove into Green Lakes State Park near Syracuse and it was beautiful - intend to go back. Ticks are an issue at both - we think my son caught Lyme disease at Wellesley = so be careful.... but it is lovely.
We love going to Robert Moses State Park near Massena, NY. The sites are electric only, but some sites look right out on the St Lawrence Seaway where the ships enter and exit the Eisenhower Lock. A visit to the free visitors center and raised viewing deck at the lock is well worth the time. Watching a 700 plus foot ship being raised or lowered purely by water power is fascinating to see. We've followed the Seaway Trail a couple of times now, stopping at Robert Moses, Wellsley Island, and Four Mile Creek State Parks.
Try Red Rock Ponds RV Park in Holly, NY. Near Brockport and right on the Erie Canal. Gravel sites with full hookups including 50 a at all sites. Cable at each site. WiFi sucks, only available at office.
