i plan on going camping next month (tent)..and i know very little about Texas, Martin Dies, Jr. State Park.and because of that.im wondering what anyone else knows about it..
I'm assuming you have read the reviews for it on this website at https://www.campgroundreviews.com/regions/texas/jasper/martin-dies-jr-state-park There are several pretty recent ones and all are high ratings except one which involved a situation that may not exist anymore. Sounds like a very nice place.
Those reviews are good.but i actually stay in a tent.and those folks stay in rv's and campers.so having other opinions are important as well..
I don't know if you've made it to Texas yet, but there was a Google review that indicated tent camping would be a good experience: Copied below. Great park to camp out for the weekend. Clean restrooms, clean showers. Nice hiking trails to burn some calories and take some pics. Bring or rent a kayak or canoe to enjoy the great views on the water. Pretty safe place too. Save enough that I camped out under a tarp inside my hammock. There are things to do for the kids too when you sign up for one of their cool classes. Stop reading my review and book a trip now.
Im staying at one of their camp sites now.in which i'll be giving a good review when i get home,on Wensday
