For those who may have a Workhorse Custom Chassis a defect may exist in certain W20,W21, and W22 home home chassis built from July 24, 2007 through December 19, 2007. The recall has not been finalized as Workhorse is re-tooling to produce the replacement parts. The official re-call will be mailed in the near future. The date was not released. Please note that if a repair to the brake system has already been made on the effected units, you may be eligible for reimbursement on certain repairs made between November 16, 2007 and June 15, 2009. We, for one, had replaced the complete brake system in September 2008 at a cost of roughly $4500.00 on a unit that had less than 15,000 miles on it. According to the info we have received, from Workhorse, we MAY BE able to recoup this expense.......time will tell. Having been in the automotive, truck, bus, part business, I asked for and have retained the old parts for just this very reason.
