I've been thinking about taking August off and parking the trailer somewhere near West Yellowstone for the month. Anyone have a good suggestion for a monthly rental? We have stayed at the Yellowstone Grizzly, but the nightly fees might be a bit expensive for a full month. Thanks! Paul
Yes go south into Island Park ID. There are a couple of rather inexpensive parks. We stayed at Valley View a couple years ago. It is not great but they have a monthly rate and it is clean. Good location to fish from. They are also Passport America.
Look to North - 35 miles from North Entrance is a campground called Yellowstone Edge RV Park www.mtrv.com It sits right next to Yellowstone River and great views of a number of peaks including Emigrant. A number of monthly renters who return from as far away as NJ every year. Very clean new restroom facility and laundry, friendly owners and staff, every night community fire ring get together, etc. Cost about $450. The drive down to YP is easy and about 30 minutes.
We stayed at Yellowstone campground right at the edge of Gardiner, MT this summer. We only stayed 4 days but there were several RVer's that were staying there all summer long. They were working inside the park in the gift shops, resorts, and resturants. So I know they have monthly rates. They are right on the river and just in the city limits. (Great laundry facilitites and clean restrooms and showers.)
