    Jason,
I have an idea on how you may be able to gain access to the Naval Air Museum. It's a long shot, but in my opinion worth a shot. I would send an email to the police chief of Pensacola (Eric Randell) explaining your intent to visit the Museum and the dilemma you are experiencing. An off duty deputy may be more than happy to help out a down under brother.

You could also try to email our state senator Rick Scott (pass Governor of Florida)
    Google U.S. Senator Rick Scott

Both my wife (who is not a plane fan) and I, (who is), loved the National Museum of the Air Force in Dayton. We've been there twice, for over 5 hours each time, and the last time my wife only got halfway through the museum - there was so much to see on the walls and other non-aircraft exhibits. Well worth the $0 entry fee!

The Wright brothers place was OK, but nowhere near as engrossing, for us, as the Air Force museum.

The Worlds of Fun Village campground is our go-to overnight stop in the KC area. I also highly recommend the National WWI museum.

Chris I like your trip plan!

Watch out for the ride, Mean Streak at Cedar Point. Not for the faint of heart as I remember my lungs felt like they were being crushed during the ride. LOL I remember the campground was expensive but first rate, worth the price.

I feel bad that I'm reading a whole bunch of health issues from all our long time members, so my message to eveyone is to recover the best you can, maybe just keep the RV wheels rolling closer to home.

My d*m knee arthritis is slowing me down, dealing with a lot of pain... :(

Thanks Mike! I probably won't ride as many rides as my adult sons, but i'm going to try to get a few coasters in.

Yes, the campground is expensive, but the package deals they have, and how close it is to the park, make it worth it. My parents in-law (also comming in the RV) will even stay in one of the cabins there for a couple of days.

Shops on Put-in-bay were only starting to open since we got there before Memorial Day. on the way back, we spied the house shaped like a boat.

The rides I remember enjoying the most were 2 original nostalgia wood coasters they were maintaining from long ago. (maybe from the 1940's or somewhere near that time line?) They were much more tame, older adult friendly!

If I remember they were tucked together in one corner of the park but it's been 16 years since we visited so I'm not even sure if they still have the coasters

Looks like another great trip planned Jason!

Yes, the AF museum was awsome, but big! plan a whole day there, and you will still miss some things.

Jason - - - I live about 180 miles east of San Fran via Interstate 80 that passes right by our state capital Sacramento. If your plans happened to include a visit to Lake Tahoe you'd pass right by me as I'm about 50 miles east of the capital and 2-1/2 miles off of I-80. When the time comes let's see if we make a meet up happen, the first cold one is on me. It's been way to many years since I've spoken Aussie slang.............:D

Have you looked into hiking Angel's Landing while in Zion? https://www.nps.gov/zion/planyourvisit/angels-landing-hiking-permits.htm

One suggestion for Seattle (if you have time). I believe the Boeing Factory tour is in Renton and about a 20 minute drive away is the Museum of Flight. https://www.museumofflight.org/ We have not done the Factory Tour but have been to the Museum of Flight twice. We rate it as equal to the Kennedy Space Museum (not including the Shuttle exhibit. That is unbeatable!) Once can easily spend a whole afternoon there.

You don't say how long you will be in Vancouver. If you have time, the Grouse Mountain Skyride is a very worthwhile trip. https://www.grousemountain.com/skyride There is a lot to see and do in Vancouver but sadly, traffic sucks so getting around is tough. Access tot he Skyride is not too bad though.

    Safe travels

    Darrell
