Um.... now the gas prices are going to go back up. The prices have hit bottom. From what I'm reading, should be $2 by spring. Of course, we are all saying to ourselves... "$2, is that ALL?" When gas first hit $2 a gallon, we all screamed!

Its already started to go back up. Hard saying how far it will rise before it stops again but it can get ugly. Expecially with the possibility they are going to add 20 cents or more to the federal gas tax nationally.

Gas at the station I use is at $1.69 a gallon. But, I just filled up for free. In conjunction with a grocery store for every 50 dollars you spend at the grocery store you get 10 cents off per gallon at the gas station. I haven't had to buy gas for the last three months and prior to that when gas was like $4.00 a gallon the most I paid was a little over $2.00...I love this system, LOL!!

It bottomed out at $1.69 at the casino, today it was $1.75 at the casino. Hope my RV gets fixed soon, so I can go while the gas is cheap! (RV suffered some freeze damage...).

Nope, I full-timed for eight months about three years ago. Now, I live in a condo and I'm a "part-timer" again. I would like to full-time again some day.

My RV was in storage, and right before the snow came here, I did what I could to prevent freezing (I live in Northwest WA, usually doesn't get cold here, so I normally don't winterize). If it were just a 24 hour thing, I would have turned on a space heater, left it, and crossed my fingers (that it didn't start a fire). However, I knew the snow would be a long haul, so I did what I could, but didn't help, my kitchen faucet and my shower handles snapped right off.

    Hi JJ,

I'm sorry to hear about the damage to your RV

If there is 110 volt power at the storage location Walmart (at least in Canada) sells a lovely 110 volt plug in thermostat. It can be set as low as 41 F (5C). Plug in an electric heater and freezing will not be a problem again.

My storage place that I rent has "plug ins." I usually do a space heater when it's just an issue of freezing for 24 hours. I turn on the space heater, leave it on, and cross my fingers. The storage place is six miles away.

SInce this was a long haul, I didn't want to leave a space heater running unattended 24 hours a day for... oh... two weeks, that's a fire hazard!

I guess I need to learn how to "winterize" and "unwinterize." I didn't want to pay for a "winterization" for a short term thing. Well, now I'm "Paying" for that decision......
