Yes, to be sure, there are areas that are trashed left by vagrants that have some out, lived for a couple months in their cars Usually, then skipped out leaving all their junk. (To be fair, I saw a few RV spots that left junk too). But there are some clean areas like the Loners on Wheels, and The Traveling Pals, and the Canadian area up by the canal. The problem is this: too hot in the summer to clean up someone else's junk. And during the winter, the RV Snowbirds do not show up at our volunteer clean ups, so it is a hell of a lot of work for the full time residents, so we sort of gave up. The abandoned sites do reduce as people pick through the left overs and find something they can up-cycle. There is one woman who makes art out of trash, hehe. Some long time residents and snowbirds don't want the trash picked up becasue they feel it discourages new RV visitors from coming out, thus more space for them. Personally, I think that sucks. Don't fall for it, he has never helped the full time residents with even buying us trash bags for our community clean up gatherings. By the way...TRASH BLOWS and much of it comes from Snowbirds camps that don't know how to secure it before high winds hit...but we forgive them and just pick it up when it blows in our yard.
