I have wooden blocks cut at the lumber yard to level my camper and block the tires. Are there any pine beetle issues with using it? It's dried wood from 2x6 from the lumber yard.
Off hand, and just using uncommon sense, I'd have to say that unless the blocks you are using are made of Pine then you probably won't have to worry about Pine Beetles chewing on them. Then again, one has to be concerned about the Oak Worm, the Cedar Creeper, and the Maple Mutant............... Sorry Ketelmeister I just couldn't resist. On a serious note if you coat the wooden blocks with a urethane or even just paint them with a lacquer based paint, no little mites or insects should even come near them.................. Be safe and stay healthy, BankShot..............(aka Terry)
As long as it's standard kiln dried lumber it's ok and meets most public campground requirements for firewood.
I use wood blocks for my leveling, and have never had any problems or comments from campground owners.
