I have stayed at McKinney many times when it was run by COE. It still is well run by the county. We camped at McKinney Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips from campers about McKinney Campground
- The Happy Life Battlefields of Chattanooga, Chickamauga and Lookout Mountain are great.
- Michael_6462280eb6a5a 15 min drive to Cloudland State Park, 30 mins to Chattanooga, and 10-15 mins to AL. We were able to take multiple hikes without having to drive too far to get to the trails.
- Switching Gears Cloudland Canyon State Park. $5 entry fee and some really nice views. Ruby Falls was great! Next time we're in the area will will do Rock City.
