The campground was nice and clean though you're here. It was pretty cold so we didn't get to take advantage of most the amenities. The bathrooms are pretty gross and I certainly wouldn't have showered...

The campground has cleaned up from the previous comments about junky sites. The camp host has a shed. It looks like there are some full time people despite the note in the rules about full time. We...

Tips from campers about Coronado Campground

  • Wandering With Us Good brewery / restaurant right next door to the campground.
  • KJK81 Plenty of delicious food trucks nearby. Delicious beer and pizza at the Kaktus Brewery.
  • rsegler Adjoining the campground is the Coronado Historic Site. Santa Fe is about an hour away. The docent tour at the NM History Museum was interesting. The State Capitol appears small from the outside but feels large inside and has an amazing art collection. Tortilla Flats restaurant was mostly meh. Fair warning: their red chile sauce is HOT!. It adjoins the Meow Wolf immersive art experience.Old Town Albuquerque had an energetic, creative vibe. Lunch was excellent at the Church Street Caf which has an unassuming entrance but a huge interior space. The Petroglyphs National Monument is interesting. Wish wed had more time to explore the trail and petroglyphs. The International Balloon Museum was very well done and quiet the week after the annual Balloon Fiesta. Visit the Center of the Universe on the University of New Mexico campus just to say youve been there. The Tour ABQ Trolley Tour was excellent! Tracy called to warn us that our tour might be canceled. Long story shortwe worked through multiple changes culminating with Ann sick and just me going the next day. Tracy was awesome. So were the driver Shana and the very entertaining guide Blake. Saw much, learned much, and laughed much! The Tablao Flamenco Dinner Theater had interesting performances and good but unexceptional food. If you already understand Flamenco dance and speak Spanish, youre good. If not, youre on your own. Dont expect any introduction or explanation. Dont expect prompt drink service. And dont expect to get any silverware for dessert after they cleared everything with your entrees. Do expect a reprimand for your failure to retain utensils. Fortunately, our neighbors witnessed the server's rude behavior and had an unused spoon. Based on the response from locals, the performance was impressive. But we had no idea how to interpret it. Looked forward to this experience but left early disappointed and irritated.

The good: This has the potential to be a really nice campground. Sites include nice shelters over picnic tables, an artificial turf patio area beside them, a fire ring, water spigot, and 30-amp power....

Loved the outdoor cabana and fake grass area at campsite. Easy walk to amazing historical site and brewery too. We camped at Coronado Campground in a Travel Trailer.
