Mostly level gravel sites. WSE worked fine. They were upgrading their internet while we were there. We camped at Mount Pleasant / Charleston KOA Holiday in a Motorhome.

Tip for Other Campers:
Stayed here many times. Every store you want within 3 miles. Lots of links in the area. Visit Patriot Point and USS Yorktown. Shem creek for shrimp off the boat and dolphins swim by the restaurants. Here late January so no beach time....

- Underlog Presents alternatives to downtown Charleston. Access roads take you to nearby shopping and restaurants without going back out on the highway. Patriot's Point is a great location for ferry to Fort Sumter and Water Taxi to downtown Charleston, though parking for the Water Taxi cost $12, parking for Fort Sumter was only $5. USS Yorktown, USS Laffey, and USS Clamagore are available to board and tour.
- Greg and Kim For those who enjoy pizza, Toni's Pizza in Mount Pleasant makes an outstanding Detroit Style PIzza (best I've ever found outside of Michigan) that is well worth trying.
- Cathy Roark Enterprise was good enough to come and pick us up so that we could get a Rent-A-Car. It was easy to return it because it was on our way out of the city headed towards Savannah

Tip for Other Campers:
Check out the sweetgrass basket stands along Highway 17-Sweetgrass Basket Makers Highway. If you are going on the hike at the campground, get the hiking guide from the office. It lists all of the stops and gives info about the history and the flora you will see along the way....
