Tip for Other Campers:
Lighthouse bakery, Islanders, The Carriage House! Pirates on the water for a sunset. Wander over to Bayou la Barte for fresh shrimp! Visit the fort. We did not make it across to Fort Morgan- we'll do that next year!

We are here for three weeks right across the road from the public beach.. The Nicest staff ever! We camped at Pelican Nest RV Resort and Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Tip for Other Campers:
Nothing to eat open past 9:00pm. No groceries stores on the island. Mobile is the closest Walmart.

“Nice location for base camp”

The grounds were small however adequate - the term "resort" is a little bit of a stretch. The owners were very nice and very helpful. We ate at the Islander restaurant next door and it was very good....

Tip for Other Campers:
Take bikes on the ferry over to Fort Morgan. Once there you can bike over to Tacky Jacks for lunch and then have an enjoyable ferry ride back to Daughin. We loved the island! As others have said, stock up on supplies and groceries before arriving.
