Tip for Other Campers:
Lots of shopping in the area. Montgomery is about 20 minutes away. Wetumpka (of HGTV Home Town fame) is also 20 minutes away. Both are worth a visit. We did not see a lot of activities for kids in the campground but there is at least one playground. We would definitely stop here again if we are going through the area.
Tips from campers about Capital City RV Park
- Travelincouple I would avoid this place. I would also try to avoid I-10. The construction is endless and our unit took a pounding on these roads and bridges. Lanes are narrow and it is a constant parade of 18 wheelers. This was not a fun experience. I am an experienced driver having driven oversized vehicles most of my life.
