“Beautiful setting, but”
Nightly Rate: $45 USD
There are two campgrounds here and they are totally different! If you want pine trees and wildlife near excellent trails, chose Pioneer Park. If you want a parking lot, chose Elk Ridge, but know that...

Tip for Other Campers:
There are many trails in the park but all of them are moderate or strenuous. Drive into Kingman and visit Beale Street and several breweries with good food and beer. Then travel scenic old Route 66 to Oatman where burros roam the streets.

Tips from campers about Hualapai Mountain Park
- oneshrewddude Beautiful Area... Tight roads for Big Rigs!9 months ago Bodega Bay RV Park
- Martneasy A couple of places stand out for me. The Tides restaurant is a great place to eat just before sunset. The sunset is fantastic visible through surrounding windows. Market and shops are attached offering souvenirs related to the motion picture The Birds which was partially filmed there. A short trip to Bodega is recommended to visit the school house and church featured in The Birds movie. Best clam chowder is at Buds. Down the road heading north and then east is a beautiful nine hole golf course snuggled within the redwoods. Very charming. Northwood.1 week ago Bodega Bay RV Park
- RBabo__238 Hwy 1 can be a challenge, very tight and twisty, be careful of roadside tree's overhanging the road.1 month ago Bodega Bay RV Park

We only drove through and didnt stay the two nights we had reserved. It was 100 degrees. We didnt explore the dry camping sites. Im sure it is a fascinating area in cooler weather. Steep grade, paved...

Nice place to stay for a few nights but to sell service and Internet was almost 0 because of the mountains behind the RV. Left a day early because of the lack of cell service even though I had a cell...

“There are 2 different campgrounds and boy are they different!”
Nightly Rate: $45 USD
We stayed at the Elk Ridge Campground. The camp host was very friendly and nice. The full hook-ups worked great. The problem is that the pictures of camping in the trees are from Pioneer Campground...

Tip for Other Campers:
This is a county park. They say there are over 11 miles of trails. They range from easy to hard so there is something for most everyone. The "easy" trail was narrow and over rocks and tree roots. We enjoyed it but if you have a wheelchair or trouble walking, this wouldn't work at all.
