Tip for Other Campers:
Great Kamp K9 with some obstacle equipment if your dog is into this. The Picacho State Park has wonderful hiking and is completely dog friendly, not easy to find these days. Theres a spot in the park at the southwest corner for night sky viewing that was fantastic, as long as it was clear.
Tips from campers about Picacho / Tucson NW KOA Journey
- Misc789 Avoid the picacho peak exit south of the park as the side road is 8 miles of single lane no turn offs or turn arounds. I'd take the 211 exit hwy 87 to the north as its maybe 2 miles. Gravel EVERYWHERE very little flat surface. Some in site dog runs available3 months ago Picacho / Tucson NW KOA Journey

“Dog Friendly”
Nightly Rate: $85 USD
The best thing about this spot was that I had a private dog run at my site. It was awesome to have a "Paw Pen" that I did not have to share with unknown dogs. The park was clean and level. You can...
