Gravel parking areas, clean, well organized. We camped at 1899 Hotel & Camp in a Travel Trailer.
Tip for Other Campers:
20 miles or so to Surprise AZ and about 11miles to Wickenburg AZ a wonderful town,
Tips from campers about 1899 Hotel & Camp
- Capt Gerry The battlefield is the primary attraction here. The Delta Explorer offers several different tours. We enjoyed the 3-hour tour of the rivers and Port of Mobile. The campground is about 8 miles from Spanish Fort, where you can find Walmart, Lowes, Harbor Freight, Tractor Supply and other shopping/dining opportunities. Sams Club is another couple of miles in Daphne, Al. Mobile and Gulf shores are close as well and offer lots to do.3 weeks ago Blakeley State Park
- Walden Wanderers #1) We had a tasty seafood lunch at the Original Oyster House on the causeway between Mobile and Spanish Fort. About a 10 minute drive from the park. #2) Wilson's Service Center, on Spanish Fort Blvd, will refill propane tanks.4 weeks ago Blakeley State Park

Tip for Other Campers:
Google Maps guided us to the wrong side of the highway. The site numbers are very difficult to see in the dark, we had to wander around with a flashlight to see them.

Tip for Other Campers:
Bring a generator (not open framed) and your own firepit and wood. Very little light pollution here, so the stars are pretty amazing.

Tip for Other Campers:
If you are arriving from Wickenburg to the north the easiest access would be to turn left at the post office as there is an entrance just past. Wickenburg is only a few miles up the road should you need supplies .
