What RVers Say
Based on RV LIFE Member Reviews
Meteor Crater RV Park is a popular stop for RVers thanks to spacious sites, a tidy desert setting, and shade from mature trees that creates a peaceful vibe just off I-40. The location makes it the closest RV base for Meteor Crater visits, and RVers appreciate the included discount for crater admission and easy access to Winslow and Flagstaff. Clean restrooms, good security with a locked gate after hours, and responsive staff add to the appeal, though some mention...

“If you're a late arrival, after 6;00 pm, you have to use the side entrance.”

Very friendly staff and clean. Not to far off the interstate but you can't hear it. Nice fenced in dog park, there are 2. We camped at Meteor Crater RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips from campers about Meteor Crater RV Park
- Nancyw680 Visit Homolovi State Park. It’s a few miles East of the town of Winslow. The car fee is $7. Be sure to take a drive to Homolovi II Ancestral Pueblo ruins (about 5 miles from the visitor center). The ruins are interesting. The scenery is beautiful.4 years ago Meteor Crater RV Park
- Daniel Radovic Only thing close is Winslow AZ. Not much there. If you need to stock up on anything and coming from the west, stock up in Flagstaff. For those wanting to see the Meteor Crater, you are not going to find anything closer, pull out on the same road 5 miles down the road.4 years ago Meteor Crater RV Park
- CamelotPDQ We went to tour Meteor Crater the next morning. The campground provided discount coupons and the location of the campground was excellent for this visit. There was plenty of room to park our rig at Meteor Crater.3 years ago Meteor Crater RV Park

Spaces were nice. Park is gated and well maintained. Night skies were amazing. It's in the middle of nowhere, as is the crater, but Winslow is just a short drive away. We camped at Meteor Crater RV...

“Worth the stop”
Nightly Rate: $70 USD
Short stay enroute home. Sites are level and spacious. My only issue was the uphill flow to the sewer. There is a fuel stop at the park with a well stocked convenience store. The reviews of the meteor...

Tip for Other Campers:
There aren't a lot of close options for dinner we opted to head for Winslow. As we were nearing Winslow we saw a sign advertising Thai food. We found the Chang Thai Resturant on the east side of Winslow just off the interstate, I think it was exit 255. We will come back again.
