“Great State Park.”
Nightly Rate: $40 USD
One if the nicest state parks we have been to. Spacious sites, most FHU. We will be back. We camped at Crater of Diamonds State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tip for Other Campers:
Murfreesboro is a nice little town. But, as there are Dollar Stores intown, there is no grocery store in town. Best to take what you may need or drive 10 to 12 miles to Walmart.

You must stop by the visitor center to check in before heading to your site. There is parking in front of the visitor center to check in. The sites are all pretty level and are all full hook up sites....

Tips from campers about Crater of Diamonds State Park
- BaldGuy Murfreesboro only has the Dollar brand of stores and one store I wouldn't buy anything from so if you need it, it's 20 miles to Nashville.2 years ago Crater of Diamonds State Park
- MOUCHIE Sites numbered a lil weird in our opinion but we thought sites 1-3 and ones around 28-35 the best views and level. Overall a quiet wonderful park whether or not visiting the diamond fields.8 years ago Crater of Diamonds State Park
- Bama Bill We have two children (6 & 8) and had a fun time hunting diamonds for two, half days. In an effort to avoid standing in the hot sun on the diamond field, we took the kids to the Dinosaur Dig (by the Pawn shop on the main drag). They have an indoor sandpit with polished stones throughout. the kids get to keep what they find and had a great time for approx $9 each. “Campsites close to diamond dig.”
Nightly Rate: $42 USD
First shower all year that I actually took my flip flops off. Floors were epoxy coated. We camped at Crater of Diamonds State Park in a Motorhome.
