Tip for Other Campers:
Make the 10-minute trip to Castelo Amorosa. It's a medieval castle, and it's amazing. Don't miss the Petrified Forest or the Old Faithful geyser.
Nightly Rate: $25 USD
Rate reflects Passport America discount. Very easy checkin and parking in site #24, directly across from the bathrooms. Good 50 amp power but very, very poor water pressure. In fact, I think this...

This camp is part of the Napa County fairgrounds and is next to a racetrack and golf course. It is rustic and the fairgrounds, which provided a nice place to walk the dog, was pretty overgrown. It...

Pride Mountain Winery has an awesome tasting!
This is our 4th time here. A note on getting there. Roads that come in to Calistoga from N, E, and W are all twisty, narrow, and can be steep. I have found that coming in from the North on CA 128...

Tip for Other Campers:
If you hit all the wineries in the area you are going to be there a few weeks and probably end up in rehab. Excellent restaurants in town and there's even a brewery with great food. Go to the petrified forsest of Redwoods and there's a restored grist mill down the road.

I stayed here for 3 days while visiting friends so I spent little time at the park. That said, it's convenient for visiting the many interests in the valley. My premium gravel pull-thru site was...

Tip for Other Campers:
Calistoga has weekly concerts in the park with live music, pet friendly and a real treat. Literally hundreds of wineries in the region.
