“Great access to central area of park”
Nightly Rate: $9 USD
RV sites are spacious. Restrooms were fine (but no showers). Campground hosts were available and very helpful. This was a great, low-cost solution for us. We camped at Sunset in a Fifth Wheel.
“Great place to stay close to many of the best sights in Death Valley”
Nightly Rate: $18 USD
We were very comfortable at Sunset! We have a 44ft toyhauler fifth wheel so, options for boondocking in the park was limited. We slid right into Sunset and had plenty of room. James, the attentive...

Tip for Other Campers:
A few pro tips: go to Beatty, NV for diesel versus getting gauged in the park, and if you can, experience a few nights boondocking at Ballarat Ghost Town on the other side of the park in the Panamint Valley. It's a suggested fee of $10/night, the stargazing is unparalleled, and you might even get a wild burro visit at your campfire (it'll be thirsty so have...

Tip for Other Campers:
So much to do we extended two nights. Pay stations on the way in, clip your receipt to the plastic marking post at your site. Camp host will come by, check it and mark your receipt with last day #. Do visit the Ranch. Besides the restaurant and buffet they have a post office and great gift shop. Grab a couple of drinks from the bar and site out on the...

Tip for Other Campers:
* Pool passes can be purchased at Furnace Creek and Stovepipe Wells for about $7-10/person"The Oasis" formally known as "The Ranch" is up and running. If you're a big fan of taco bell or Casa Bonita in Denver, you'll feel right at home strolling around the the grounds. However you may miss the quality of food at the former after dinning at the latter....
