Tips from campers about Furnace Creek
- gs2rt Decent store/gas at "Christian Camp" 3 miles. No other gas avail for long way. Easier to get to & from the CG from Grant Grove entrance to Kings Canyon NP via the "Tenmile" road than by following Ca 180. Same distance, but not as steep, winding, or as much traffic.7 years ago Hume Lake Christian Camps

Tip for Other Campers:
Sidewinder hike was awesome with impressive slot canyons - get info from the ranger at the Vistors Center and use AllTrails or similar to find the specific canyon. Moderate level hike, but well worth it if you're interested.
