“Nice Place to Stay While Visiting the Redwoods”
Nightly Rate: $57 USD
We stayed here for about 4 nights. Saw lots of giant redwoods, elk, seals, and one whale. This is a smaller park, but very well maintained, and all sites are full hook-ups. We camped at Kamp Klamath...

Tip for Other Campers:
Best price fuel nearby is at Pem-Mey. Be sure to check out the Country Club Bar and Grill across from the Redwood Hotel and Casino. It's a bit of a dive, but the burgers are locally sourced, and are awesome! Also have a pint of one of the Mad River beers on tap. It's a tribal-owned brewery, the beer is really good!
Tips from campers about Kamp Klamath RV Park
- Nomadic Dwellers Make sure youre stocked up on food! Closest grocery stores are Crescent City and there really arent restaurants in the area. Visit Trees of Mystery to learn more about the Redwood trees, walk the canopy trail and take the sky trail to the top. The kids loved this place! They also have a great gift shop if youre into that ;) Adults $20, kids 6-12 $12, 5 and under free. Parking is free. Trillium Falls Trail - easy parking & bathrooms. Falls are about .5 mile in from the trail head. You can keep going or turn around and go back. Herd of elk on the way in you can stop and watch! Newton B. Drury Parkway is a ten-mile-long scenic alternative to Highway 101 that takes you into the heart of Prairie Creeks old-growth redwood forest. Beautiful drive! Fern Canyon - famous for its appearance in things like Jurassic Park and Walking With Dinosaurs, this breathtaking spot is worth the work it takes to get there! While the trail itself is only a mile long, the drive in/out is 8 miles and takes about an hour each way, but its a beautiful (albeit bumpy) drive. The road is a rough, narrow and windy and you will need to cross a few creeks so be prepared! The cost is $8 cash if you dont have a National Parks Pass. There is parking just before the trail head, as well as bathrooms and some picnic benches if you want to bring lunch! We stopped for a picnic at Elk Meadow Picnic Area before doing the drive in because its such a beautiful spot! We definitely encourage you to be prepared with water shoes and shorts as about half of the one mile loop is through the creek down in the canyon :) Super fun day trip for the family! You definitely have to see this if youre in the area. Klamath Beach - beautiful beach and lots of sea lions!3 years ago Kamp Klamath RV Park

The closest grocery store is in Crescent City. About a 25 minute drive. Wifi is best in the Mesa area. Not so good in the Arden wood area

Tip for Other Campers:
Trees of Mystery 10 miles away. Lots of easy trails and interpretive signs. Don't miss the Canopy Trail [suspension swinging walkways [think Ewoks from Star Wars]. Great information about these giant trees along with a fantastic Native American museum [private collection] gathered from across the American continent. Klamath Jet Boats are also close by. No...
