  LMNCOX Pets allowed, nothing really for kids to do at the RV park. Ate at the Moonstone Bar & Grill in Cambria (just north about 12 miles) & was very satisifed with the amount/taste of the food (a little pricey, but it is CA after all). Visited & ate at Mandonna Inn (not associated with the singer) & that was fun/different. Took in the sunsets at multiple beaches from Pismo beach up to San Simeon. SLO has a Farmer's Market in town every Thursday from 6-9pm...that was fun and took a little over an hour to walk, shop, and people watch. We parked in a public parking garage (first hour is free, and $1.50 after that). If coming north on Hwy 1 to get the base, the left turn is very narrow so come at it slow (you'll be in a left turn lane, but still). Once you turn, stay to the right as to enter thru a wide, manually operated gate that the base security forces will open for you.

  Eastie This place is fairly large and though there are no playgrounds if you have kids you should be able to entertain them and they can safely walk and ride bicycles here. I believe they may use the dining facility (you may have to be with them) and exchange. There's no Wi-Fi so if you need it subscribe to your own or use a hotspot.
