We started at a nearby RV park which was very run down. The manager was very nice, but it wasn't suitable so we went to Susanville RV Resort. They were wonderful, clean, safe, and efficient.

Tip for Other Campers:
Ride the Bizz Johnson trail. It is just 2 miles to the trailhead at the depot. It is not a paved trail so have wide tires. In summer, there is a shuttle to ride to Westwood with your bike and ride down the 24.5 mile trail. We ate at the Lumberjack. Friendly service and clean.
Tips from campers about Susanville RV Resort
- gs2rt Decent store/gas at "Christian Camp" 3 miles. No other gas avail for long way. Easier to get to & from the CG from Grant Grove entrance to Kings Canyon NP via the "Tenmile" road than by following Ca 180. Level sites, pleasing setup but very nasty dip in the road when leaving the site. Not much they can do about that I guess. We camped at Susanville RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

The rv park is very nice and level sites, wide open and easy to navigate. Wifi spotty, no cable TV but no matter. Very clean. We camped at Susanville RV Resort in a Motorhome.
