Nice park, surrounded by mountains. Friendly staff. Well maintained. Stayed here for two months. Recommend highly except if you need wifi, you better have your own. Almost non-existent. We camped at...

10 minutes from Durango off highway 550. Lots of room between sites and lots of trees. Very level sites. One of our favorites. We camped at Alpen Rose RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips from campers about Alpen Rose RV Park
- Atvr43 Steamworks Brewery is a great place to have a drink and some good food. Also, The Diamond Belle Saloon in the Strater Hotel is a neat place to go. Built in the late 1800s. Our lunch there was very good. The Durango to Silverton train ride is a must do. Such beautiful views as the aspens were in full color. Silverton is a neat old mining town with shops and restaurants the train stops at and turns around for the return to Durango. Which allows you a couple of hours to eat lunch and shop. If you dont want the train ride round trip you can ride the train up and take the bus back to Durango. Durango has trails to walk or bike and a botanical garden at the library.5 months ago Alpen Rose RV Park

- The RT Bus Durango Hot Springs is worth the visit and it's less than 3 miles from the park. There are about a dozen different pools with temperatures ranging from 90-107 degrees. We didn't opt to do into the "cold plunge" pool at 46 degrees. They also have a bar with various alcoholic beverages available.4 months ago Alpen Rose RV Park

Approximately 6 miles north of Durango. We choose a large pull thru site for our 41 ft Motorhome. We spent a week exploring the area. We camped at Alpen Rose RV Park in a Motorhome.
