If you're looking to be close to town, this is the best you're going to do. It's basically just a large gravel lot with electric and water hookups. The price and location made it worth it for us....

It is all about the location! The campground itself is about what you would expect for a fairground. Just a back in with power. Water available to every 2 sites. You are not suppose to hook up water...

Tip for Other Campers:
11th street station is a nice place for lunch/dinner downtown. Group of food trucks with nice outdoor space to sit and enjoy. Had live music when we visited.

Tip for Other Campers:
Lots to do in town. The train ride to Silverton was wonderful and the drive to Ouray was amazing. The rec center next-door has showers for six dollars a day.

Tip for Other Campers:
Ate at 636 Main for a special dinner. Very good with generous servings.
You can access the beautiful Animas River Trail from playground area of fairgrounds.
Ride the train to Silverton, we'll worth the price.
