“Great camping and fireflies!”

First time here. Great park to stay in and visit. Site 9 is very unlevel and sand doesnt help so dont recommend that site unless you have things to help you level. Boat tour great to take to see lots...

“Construction & manatees=no spring access ”
Nightly Rate: $33 USD
Stayed here 3/2025. Even though it's the peak of winter Florida tourism season, they are doing construction work on the boardwalk, so there is no access to the spring head; came to a spring state park...

Tip for Other Campers:
There is a short trail from the campground loop to the area where the canteen is alongside the spring outflow (the trail is much shorter than walking/riding/driving the road from the CG to the spring area). Nearby, downtown DeLand and downtown Sanford are lovely to walk around.
Tips from campers about Blue Spring State Park
- RoamerswithHerbie The Rio Vista Bakery is way over priced for mediocre bread and pastries ($22 for two old fashioned donuts, two drip coffees and a small loaf of white bread). Ben's & Friends, in Rio Vista, is pricey but good food ($15 for a very small salad). Ruby's Bakery in Lodi is amazing (and of course, overpriced - $19 for two drip coffees and two croissants)...seems to be a theme these days.4 days ago Delta Marina Yacht Harbor
- V-3 Point Restaurant is a minute walk. Downtown Rio Vista is a 12 minute walk.4 months ago Delta Marina Yacht Harbor

“Close to the Springs”
Nightly Rate: $28 USD
All sites look like they have some privacy between your neighbors; not too close. Our particular site was downhill and not very level but we were close to the trail to the springs. Recommend going to...

“The train whistle even in the middle of the night”
Nightly Rate: $28 USD
I do not recommend this campground at all. We came for 4 days, thinking it would be quiet, but no. One night stay is enough. No wonder why there are plenty of availability at that park. Very bad...

Perfect for seeing the manatees in winter. But in February it is already too late.

“Large, private sites.”
Nightly Rate: $36 USD
Blue Spring State Park is a small rv park with large sites, lots of vegetation between sites for privacy and a walking path that is paved to the manatee refuge. A few sites are paved but the majority...
