- GDM The view from the top of the monument is pretty awesome but its a lot of stair climbing to the top. Great hiking here but take note that the Blue Dot trail is rated difficult and for good reason. Tip for Other Campers:
Go to the Food Lion in Hawkinsville rather than the Piggly Wiggly in Unadilla. Its worth the extra couple of miles, believe me.

Tip for Other Campers:
In warmer months the gnat problem is huge. We bring and set up a net house. One should at least bring a lot of repellent, and many people set up a fan to blow air through their outside seating area to deal with that problem.
