“Noise.”
Nightly Rate: $25 USD
Train noise at night Noisy airplanes all day long. People cleaning their horse trailers at the dump station great place to stay! We camped at Bonner County Fairgrounds Campground in a Motorhome.
Tip for Other Campers:
This is a train town. If you dont like train noise dont spend the night in Sandpoint. The tracks crisscross all over town.
“Unkept Park”
Nightly Rate: $30 USD
Very dirty bathrooms and showers, grass overgrown and in need of cutting, probably 2 weeks ago. I would not stay here again! We camped at Bonner County Fairgrounds Campground in a Motorhome.
Tips from campers about Bonner County Fairgrounds Campground
- Dave Nash We had our ebikes so we explored all over Sandpoint going as far west as Dover and grabbed cocktails as the sun was setting at the Dish at Dover Bay. We also rode south of Sandpoint across the Lone Bridge, highway 95, to the town of Sagle, and we rode north to the town of Ponderay via the bike path which was enjoyable. We had great drinks and food at the Hydra Steakhouse (dog friendly). We also were in town for the Sandpoint Music Festival which was at Lakeside Park. They allowed you to bring chairs, alcohol and food into the venue which we've never heard of which was awesome if you're on a tight budget. The park is small so seeing live music there had no bad "seats". We also did a drive west to Priest River and had lunch at the Settlement which had good microbrews.8 months ago Bonner County Fairgrounds Campground

“Better than expected, close to town, shade and mellow vibe.”
Nightly Rate: $35 USD
We stayed at site 21 which was great. This was our backup plan since Riley Creek Recreation Area was full. I will say I'm glad this was our option because you're on the northern edge of the town of...
