Tips from campers about Little Grassy Lake Campground and Marina
- Kenneth Keifer We stayed in the area to visit Garden of the Gods, The Rim Rock Trail, and Cave-in-Rock. Little Grassy Lake proved to be a further away (more than an hour) from these scenic attractions than we had thought when booking our stay. We wished we had stayed at Cave-in-Rock or perhaps somewhere else closer. That being said, the campground was fine and the lake is a very beautiful little body of water. It would have been a great place to explore with a canoe or kayak I bet. Carbondale, Illinois is relatively close with lots of restaurants and stores. I would recommend staying at Little Grassy Lake Campground. Note: Water and electric hookups were on the right or left every other spot. Our hookups were on the passenger (starboard) side of the camper. You might need an electric extension or a long hose depending upon your space.
- The Scooter Go eat chicken at the Giant City Lodge. We enjoyed the Blue Sky and Starview Wineries.
- R&W Log Dont choose site 5 A/B if you can avoid, theyre very tight and no view of water. Some sites require longer than normal distances to hookups. Ours fit, but be prepared.

The website says no alcohol at the campground. Has anyone been there that can confirm? Sorry if the question is redundant, I can’t tell if my first one posted or not....
