“Lots of long term residents ”
Nightly Rate: $50 USD
This was an interesting stay. This is clearly a long term community with some rv spots. There are a lot of old units and not well kept. Office staff were friendly. We had tornado warnings and the...

Tips from campers about Woodland Village RV and Mobile Home Park
- Chike1 Close to South Shore trains and used them to go into Chicago on 2 separate days. Day game at Wrigley field one day and touring around downtown the other (The Bean, Millennium Park, Buckingham Fountain, Soldier Field, and a beer & deep dish pizza at The Exchequer along with a beer and some blues at Buddy Guys bar/restaurant Legends). Spent a day and a half in and around Indiana Dunes National Park on foot and bike.nice, but nothing spectacular from our perspective.
- Bob&Francie Most import update, NO trains are running from the Ogdon Dunes Metro Station. If you park at Ogdon Dunes station, you will need to catch the shuttle bus that takes you to the Gary Metro Center Station. No trains running for at least a year or longer for major track improvements. Could be all of 2023. Save yourself the hassle and drive the 15-20 min to the Gary Metro Center Station. There was no charge for parking. Much more convenient and faster than the shuttle bus to and from Ogdon and Gary. There is a "senior" option at the ticket kiosk, so we found no use for our pre-ordered senior pass. I am sure they are very convenient for Chicago seniors. The pass can be loaded with money, then you can just tap and pay (nice for the buses), but I was not able to find out if they will refund any balance, so we just paid cash for the times we took the bus. Senior bus rate was $1.25 per ride.
