“Nice little park.. odd dump station location”
Nightly Rate: $20 USD
Our site was great. Reasonably level and a good concrete pad. The trail in the park was nothing amazing but we really liked having a 3 mile walk with our dog mostly in the woods. The dump...

- DJR CMR Be aware access is challenging. Route 9w, SR 293 and a portion of Route 6 is ok for RVs. The best access is from 9w is 218 (Mountain Rd) but it's posted for 5 tons max. Coming from Newburgh on 9W there is bridge posted at 12'10". The village has several family restaurants, cool coffee shop downtown too.5 years ago Highland Falls RV Park & Marina

The location couldnt have been any better! A very quick drive to many fun restaurants and attractions. It feels like youre in the middle of nature, but with the new bike trail/bridge over the Racoon...

Tip for Other Campers:
The sewer and fill station can be easily access when you leave not coming in so if you need to go arriving , you need to go around the camping, and its very tight so be very careful navigating. Also there os no gate. You just go directly to your site so dont wait until the 4pm in time Just get there and go see if its free earlier

Nightly Rate: $28 USD
Made an overnight stop @ Walnut Woods in a 35' Class A. Plenty of space between campsites. Felt like we were in deep woods, far from a city, rather than so close to Des Moines. Quiet and clean! Will...

Didn't leave the park... It was too relaxing and had everything we needed. I did notice signs for a Zoo nearby.
