“Beautiful base”
Nightly Rate: $40 USD
Close to Cow Town and Piper, Cessna, Lear museum! We camped at Krueger Recreation Area in a Fifth Wheel.

A little hard to find the FamCamp 1 or 2.
But convenient to the Commissary and Exchange

My only complaint is their reservation system... Although we didn't have to swap sites (THIS TIME), we saw others who did... They reserve site instead of site type, and lack the ability to do any type...

- jperry29 Don't miss the Waco Mammoth National Park. It has only been a National Park since July of 2015. Facilities are new and plans in place to add acreage and add/improve buildings. Large area next to rv sites if you have pets or kids to run around.

Long concrete pad. Fit both 37ft class A and tow. Shore ties well placed. Great biking and walking paths. 15-20 min to "in town" things. We camped at Krueger Recreation Area in a Motorhome.

Tip for Other Campers:
Old Cow Town Museum was outstanding. Wel worth the time and small cost.
Prost German Restraunt is a must go. Wee bit hard to find but it is in a 2-story container based retail store location.
