- Alworth While many mid-western towns are dying, Winfield is thriving. It is worth driving the residential streets to see the craftsmanship that went into many of the houses. This is more like camping in a city park than at a campground. A large (20 Acre?) field slopes gently from the fairgrounds to the river and water and electric hookups are spotted sorta at random...

Nothing wrong with this place. Parked on grass and had water and electric. Wi-Fi was pay if you could get strong enough signal. Would stay there again if in the area We camped at Winfield Fairgrounds...
