“Beautiful Fall Campground”
Nightly Rate: $30 USD
Fall colors in the area are great. We are a big rig and always concerned about access. Last 11 miles (10 miles on the 201 and 1 mile on Country Road) of road are a little challenging for a big...

Walmart is 10 miles away in Paintsville for groceries. No ATT cell service but great Wi-Fi in campground. Got Bike trails and back roads for riding in the area. Fishing (Catfish primarily) is catch and release for campground residents....

Some convenience stores are closer, but 10 miles to town. Tres Hermanos Nunez good for Mexican, Mi Hacienda not so much. A Taste of Amish is an excellent sandwich shop....
Tips from campers about Wild Cat Campground
- RVL213409 The Platte River Fly Shop & the Ugly Bug Fly Shop were both extremely helpful and well-stocked.3 months ago Windy Waters RV Parks
- PStamp Alcova is a tiny little town with just a post office and a gas station. Casper is a GREAT town and an easy 30 minute drive up the highway. Sloans gas station is right across the road and you'll need to try the ice cream (the brown-sugar cinnamon is amazing). Alcova reservoir is about a three minute drive and has lots of campgrounds. If you're into fly-fishing, Miracle Mile is about an hour drive, Fremont Canyon is 10 minutes and Gray Reef is roughly 3 minutes. And if you want to fish and not wade, Jessica's Pond is about 20 minutes away that is stocked by the nearby fish hatchery. Lots of fish and a good place for kids. Independence Rock is about 30 minutes to the south. If you're interested in the Oregon Trail and can hike, I'd encourage you to climb it to see all the names etched in the rock. It was very cool.6 months ago Windy Waters RV Parks
