“Very empty and nice place”

We stayed for 4 nights in late July. Only saw 2 other campers who were overnight. Plenty of nice fire rings and picnic tables. Tree cover on backside of park. Playground and large pavilion....

Tip for Other Campers:
Cumberland falls is a short drive, sterns has a great scenic railroad. Some antique shopping and lots of food....
Tips from campers about Sandhill RV Camp
- TravelDiva Big Johns grocery store is just outside the entrance and is also walkable. Be sure to visit the Superman statue and museum and the Noel Neill (Lois Lane) statue. Nice chamber of commerce visitor center as well. Eat at Fat Edds Roadhouse. Great food & drinks at reasonable prices and huge portions! Take a trip over the bridge to Paducah KY for any bigger shopping (Walmart, Sams Club etc) as well as cute downtown Paducah for the National Quilt Museum and the scenic flood wall. There is also a downtown farmers market on Saturday with produce stands and crafts. Lots of cute little cafes on Broadway. Lao definitely worth a trip is the Purple Toad Winery. Free tastings and some really pretty grounds. Great wines too!4 years ago Fort Massac State Park
