Tip for Other Campers:
The historic downtown of Dundee is cute, and there is a great Italian restaurant called River's Edge. There is also a Cabela's nearby, and Ann Arbor is a 40 minute drive.
Tips from campers about Wilderness Campground
- TomE Easy 30 minute drive to Hearst Castle. On the way to or from Hearst Castle, stop in Cambria at Linn's Cafe and bakery for very good food and a piece of pie.2 weeks ago Morro Dunes RV Park
- Izzy_the_Goldendoodle Walk the boardwalk around Morro Rock. Sandwiches at Hofbrau were delicious. Nice casual atmosphere.2 weeks ago Morro Bay State Park
- Robert_6557d067484d9 Take a drive up the 1, see the Hearst Castle, the town of Harmony, schedule a light house tour at Piedro Blanco, and see the elephant seals. You can also find harbor seals in town. And yes, relax in the beach.3 weeks ago Morro Strand State Beach

Stayed here for three nights. The campground is a mixture of travellers and seasonal campers. We had a nice spot with a view of the lake. Locals come to the lake on weekends to fish and relax....

I wouldn't go out of my way to come back here, but since it was on my path anyway, it was a good value at the Passport America rate. No Wi-Fi, and the AT&T signal was very weak, but Verizon signal...
