Grand Marais is a nice town only about 15 minutes north of the park and there is an IGA there for groceries. Although it was about 50 minutes away, we took the ferry to Isle Royale from Grand Portage....

“Beautiful setting and Nice Scenery”

We stayed here for two nights and used it as a base for visiting Grand Portage. It's a lovely spot in it's own right and we'd come back. We camped at Cascade River State Park in a Motorhome.

Of course take the trail and see the cascades. Visit Grand Portage and take the trail of the Voyageurs there....
