“Beautiful campground ”
Nightly Rate: $28 USD
We almost didn't stay due to the reports of lots of people. This doesn't apply to the campground and areas along lake superior. It does get busy at the falls and trails along the falls. Private sites...

“Camping in the Woods”

Well spaced campsites that you would expect from a state park. We used it as a base to explore from Duluth to Split Rock. Site 7 had a sharp back to front slope. Site 40 was a bit tight for a 25' TT...

- Ole Red We picnicked at Silver Bay one day. Check out Split Rock Lighthouse, worth the $10 to take the tour and hear about history. Access to Black Beach was under construction when we visited (8/19). Palisade Road is a fun drive and lookout. Tettegouche had a "dark sky" celebration on the 2nd weekend in Aug which was fun. AND of course, go to Bettys to eat some of the best pie around!6 years ago Gooseberry Falls State Park
